Sotai sometimes is compared with other techniques of
P.N.F.(Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) but actually has a
fundamental difference. Sotai exercises performed just in
one direction, the most comfortable or the one with
NO PAIN!
This is the major difference in the philosophy of Sotai, which treats
the body as a unity, in which every movement in one part of the body
affects
the WHOLE body. For example, we can treat a pain in one side of the back, with an exercise in the painless side.
